Difficult but not impossible: the experience of the Chilean about to write in English.

For the chileans, accustomed to reading and writing evil, it becomes very difficult or almost impossible to write in another language. Generally the languages that are derived from the Latin are more easier to adapt the Chileans. But when we speak in English everything it becomes confused.

The majority of the people claims that the “gringos” are crossed and that they aren’t understood anything any more than a constant "guanchulero". But with dedication and patience is possible to learn very much. The important thing is to have desire and to be persevering, because it is true, that in a beginning to understand the americans is difficult.

Now, a thing is to deal, other one is to speak and the most difficult … to write in English! This is the first impression when I began this way, the dread of writing garbage and that is not understood at all. I remember when I had to write on technology, a torture, because the scientific words, sometimes in Spanish sound strange, but in English are worse.

The first English class in this semester, the teacher came to the room of classes and said: "Make a blog and write about your vacations, or the earthquake " she said for to begin. To create the account of the blog is relatively easy, but, if in Spanish it is suffered with "syndrome of the blank page" in English, the problem is more complex.

The formula is: subject, verb and complement, that is placed "S" in the third person and that the "will" is inevitable in the future. That the adjective goes before the noun and so many things that I get confused.

But of all forms it is entertained to try to do this. Because it is an interesting challenge. It is like to think the world of a different form. And it sounds very well when one speaks it. The sound gives like "glamour".

Also it is interesting to see the blogs of my partners. About this form I know more his tastes and my relation with them is more nearby. To see his familiar experiences, his particular way of to see the world, it help me to understand more each of them.

According to my experience, which more I liked and I found easy it was to write about my life. But when I had to write about of other people, uhh I suffered enough. One of my principal failings, as I said previously, are the words on technology and to bring together verbs in past.

The most difficult thing to write in English is the beginning and to find the best translation to the inevitable chilenisims as "cachay" or " ya po’".

But undoubtedly the most recomforting thing is to see a finished text, as this one.
